Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol Undercard Coming Along

Two heavyweight showdowns featuring four top-10 contenders are on the verge of being confirmed.

Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang, ranked No. 7 and No. 6 respectively in ESPN's heavyweight rankings, are close to sealing a deal for a June 1st clash in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, sources informed ESPN.

Additionally, Filip Hrgovic, holding the No. 5 spot, and No. 9 Daniel Dubois are also nearing an agreement to face off on the same night, sources added.

These heavyweight bouts are slated to occur alongside the highly anticipated matchup between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed light heavyweight title.

Both Wilder and Zhang will step into the ring in pursuit of a crucial victory to stay relevant in the competitive heavyweight division.

Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) boasts a formidable reputation as one of the division's most powerful punchers. However, the Alabama native has faced setbacks in three of his last four bouts, including two losses to Fury in their championship trilogy.

Zhang, who will turn 41 on fight night, is known for his southpaw punching style and agility despite his imposing size. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 291.5 pounds in his bout against Parker, the Chinese fighter showcased his potential with stoppage victories over Joe Joyce last year.

Hrgovic's notable triumph includes a contentious unanimous decision victory over Zhang, where he endured an early knockdown. The Croatian boxer (17-0, 14 KOs) has since secured two victories, including a 12th-round TKO of Demsey McKean and a first-round TKO against Mark De Mori in December.

Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs), hailing from England, notched a significant victory over Jarrell Miller with a 10th-round TKO on the same undercard, marking a notable milestone in the 26-year-old's career.
