Two Junior Middleweight Battles Added to Canelo Alvarez vs. Jaime Munguia Undercard
Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) announced Thursday afternoon the inclusion of two electrifying junior middleweight matchups on the undercard of the highly-anticipated Canelo Alvarez-Jaime Munguia showdown.
In one bout, Jesus Ramos, ranked No. 6 by The Ring at 154, is set to take on the hard-hitting Johan Gonzalez on May 4th. Ramos (20-1, 16 knockouts), hailing from Casa Grande, Arizona, looks to rebound after a tough loss to Erickson Lubin last September, showcasing his talent against opponents like Joey Spencer and Ramal Amanov. Meanwhile, Gonzalez (34-2, 33 KOs), originally from Valencia, Venezuela, boasts an impressive record and aims to continue his winning streak after defeating Guido Schramm in his last outing.
Another enticing matchup features Vito Mielnicki, Jr. squaring off against Ronald Cruz. Mielnicki (17-1, 12 KOs), based in Roseland, New Jersey, has been on a tear, with victories over opponents like Salim Larbi and Alexis Salazar. On the other side, Cruz (19-3-1, 12 KOs), residing in North Hollywood, California, seeks to maintain his momentum following a recent win over Jose Aguirre.
Both 10-round bouts are scheduled to unfold at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, streaming live on PBC on Prime Video as part of the preliminary action, commencing at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT. These fights will be accessible to all fans for free, without any requirement of Prime membership or the purchase of the pay-per-view telecast through Prime Video. Following the preliminaries, the main pay-per-view event featuring four thrilling matchups will kick off at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Fans can also purchase the main event through DAZN and PPV.com.
