Brooks to defend his WBA Continental vs. Aran Avagyan

In the upcoming boxing event, undefeated champion Austin Brooks (12-0, 5 KOs) from La Mesa, CA, is set to defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental super featherweight title for the first time against Aram “Warrior” Avagyan (11-1-2, 5 KOs), a 2015 Armenian Olympian, in a thrilling 10-round main event hosted by All-Toro.

Brooks, aged 28, claimed his WBA Continental USA belt in his latest fight by knocking out previously unbeaten Jose Manuel Izaguirre in the seventh round last February 10th in Long Beach, California. Notably, Brooks, a skilled southpaw, has only fought once at EQC, securing a six-round technical knockout victory against Anthony Chavez (11-3-1) on August 26, 2023.

Avagyan, who now resides in Burbank, CA, boasts an impressive amateur record, having clinched two bronze medals in the European Championships and representing Armenia in the 2016 Olympics. Despite a period of inactivity, Avagyan marked his return to the ring on April 12th in Colorado with a dominating performance against Juan Santiago, forcing his opponent to concede after three rounds.

Adding to the excitement, Tsotne Rogava (7-0, 7 KOs), a formidable 2020 Ukraine Olympian, is on a blazing trail towards heavyweight stardom. Standing tall at 6’ 5” and weighing 270 pounds, Rogava is set to face the seasoned Jon Bolden (10-13-1, 7 KOs) in an intense eight-round co-featured event. Rogava, originally from Georgia and now based in Marina del Rey, CA, has swiftly dispatched his last four opponents with first-round stoppages, amassing an impressive record despite minimal time spent in the ring.

Toro Promotions showcases an array of heavyweight talents including Dante Stone (16-1, 11 KOs), Alexander “The Great” Flores (19-4-1, 17 KOs), and rising star Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh (12-1, 10 KOs), who will all feature in the June 15th event. Ibeh, hailing from Nigeria and now residing in Phoenix, brings an impressive background in both college and professional football, with the lineage of the renowned heavyweight boxer Ike Ibeabuchi.

In an eight-round Special Heavyweight Attraction, veteran mixed-martial-arts fighter Juan Torres (11-6-1, 4 KOs), a former Texas and ABF USA heavyweight champion, will face off against the powerful Ibeh.

Additionally, undefeated Nicaraguan prospect Nilo Guerrero (8-0, 1 KO), known for his exceptional height of 6’ 1”, will take on the seasoned Diuhi “Elegante” Olguin in a six-round super featherweight clash. Guerrero, residing in Coachella, CA, has utilized his unique physical advantages to dominate the super featherweight division.

The undercard features exciting matchups including Hoquiam (WA) super welterweight Nathan “Superman” Stolen (1-0, 1 KO) against Julio Munoz, Jr. (0-0-1) of Tucson, and Auburn (WA) lightweight Agustin Tovar (1-0) facing Robert Jimenez (0-2) of Nampa, Idaho, both in four-round bouts.
