Jake Paul vs Mike Perry July 20th Bare Knuckle Boxing

With his highly anticipated fight against Mike Tyson postponed to November as Tyson deals with physical issues, Jake Paul will now face MMA veteran and bare-knuckle sensation Mike Perry on the originally scheduled date of July 20.

Mike Perry, who has a diverse combat sports background with a record of 0-1 in boxing, 14-8 in MMA, and an impressive 5-0 in bare-knuckle fighting, rose to viral fame in the UFC. Known for his devastating knockouts and unpredictable behavior, Perry initially captivated fans with his raw power and aggressive style. However, his UFC career saw a decline as he lost seven of his last ten fights, leading to his departure after a decision loss to Daniel Rodriguez in 2021.

In 2022, Perry transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing, where he found renewed success and a fitting outlet for his brawling style. His victories include a stunning upset over striking specialist Michael “Venom” Page, a brutal win that left former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold with a rearranged dental structure, a decisive beatdown of former Bellator and UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, and a quick 60-second knockout of Thiago Alves in April. Given his formidable bare-knuckle resume, Perry stands as Paul’s most dangerous MMA opponent yet. While Perry fought at 170 pounds in the UFC, his experience at the middleweight limit of 185 pounds suggests he won’t be significantly smaller than Paul, providing a more evenly matched contest than previous bouts against fighters like Tyron Woodley.

Amanda Serrano (46-2-1, 30 KOs), set to rematch Katie Taylor in November, will keep active by fighting Stevie Morgan (14-1, 13 KOs) on the July card. Despite Morgan's streak of six consecutive first-round knockouts, the quality of her competition has been questioned, with four of her Colombian opponents having a combined total of 43 stoppage losses.

Additionally, Tony Aguilar (12-0-1, 4 KOs) and Corey Marksman (9-0-1, 7 KOs) will face off in a delayed rematch of their February draw, adding another intriguing matchup to the event.
