Berinchyk vs Davis official Feb14th in New York

Keyshawn Davis’ first shot at a world title is set: He’ll challenge WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk in the main event of an ESPN tripleheader on February 14 at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater.

Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) enters what promises to be his toughest test on the heels of a dominant win over Gustavo Lemos last November—his third victory of 2024. Berinchyk (19-0, 9 KOs), meanwhile, had to battle through a grueling match against Emanuel Navarrete to claim the vacant WBO title, but boasts an amateur résumé every bit as formidable as Davis’. It’s a showdown of two highly skilled technicians that should deliver plenty of excitement.

“I’m not going to make any big statements or pile on the praise,” Berinchyk said. “All I’ll say is: Don’t let your guard down, man. It’s not going to be an easy night for you!”

Davis responded, “This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for. Berinchyk called me out, and I’m ready. A new era in the lightweight division starts on February 14. Whether you’re in the arena or watching live on ESPN, what I’m going to do has to be seen to be believed.”

The co-feature sees WBO No. 1 contender Xander Zayas (20-0, 12 KOs) test himself against fellow unbeaten Slawa Spomer (20-0, 11 KOs) in a 10-round junior middleweight clash. In the televised opener, also scheduled for 10 rounds, middleweight Vito “White Magic” Mielnicki Jr. (20-1, 12 KOs) aims to hand undefeated contender Connor “The Kid” Coyle (21-0, 9 KOs) his first loss.

Rounding out the card are welterweight Rohan Polanco (14-0, 9 KOs), lightweight Abdullah Mason (16-0, 14 KOs), welterweight Tiger Johnson (14-0, 6 KOs), and middleweight Nico Ali Walsh (11-1, 5 KOs) in separate bouts.
