Canelo-Paul Off Canelo-Crawford Back On

Turki Alalshikh Announces Four-Fight Deal Between Canelo Alvarez and Riyadh Season

In a surprising turn of events, Canelo Alvarez has inked a four-fight agreement with Riyadh Season, effectively shelving any plans for a potential bout against Jake Paul. Recent developments around Alvarez’s next opponent have been tumultuous: initially, a showdown with Terence Crawford appeared to be set, only for reports to suggest that those plans were scrapped in favor of negotiations with Paul.

However, matters quickly came full circle when Turki Alalshikh formally announced that his Riyadh Season had secured Alvarez for four upcoming fights. Canelo himself seemed to confirm the news by reposting Alalshikh’s statement, accompanied by the caption, “Let’s go brother.”

According to reports, the deal begins with a May fight in Riyadh, followed by a September clash in Las Vegas against Terence Crawford. Two additional matchups are slated to take place back in Riyadh in February and October of 2026. This new arrangement decisively eliminates any prospect of Alvarez facing off against Jake Paul—a matchup that might have generated buzz but lacked significance in the broader landscape of professional boxing.
