LA Friday Night Fights: Gallardo vs. Stevens Headlines Exciting New Boxing Series

Paco Presents and Golden Boy Promotions, in association with Cotto Promotions and H2 Entertainment, will launch their “LA Friday Night Fights” professional boxing series on Friday, April 25, at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, CA. The event, streaming live on DAZN at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT, will showcase rising talent in competitive matchups.

Main Event: Gallardo vs. Stevens – Light Heavyweight Clash

In the 10-round light heavyweight main event, undefeated knockout artist Yair "Manotas" Gallardo (9-0, 8 KOs) of Chihuahua, Mexico, faces his toughest test against David "Dynamite" Stevens (14-2, 10 KOs) of Reading, Pennsylvania.

Gallardo, a three-time Mexican National Champion and 2021 Junior Pan American silver medalist, has been dominant since turning professional in 2022, with four consecutive knockout wins. The 21-year-old is eager to showcase his talent on the big stage.

“I’m ready to continue demonstrating my talent, fight after fight,” said Gallardo. “Stevens is a great boxer, but we’ll see who’s the best in the ring.”

Stevens, a decorated amateur and hard-hitting contender, is coming off a close split decision loss to top prospect Bektemir Melikuziev. The 24-year-old previously knocked out then-undefeated Sean Hemphill (14-0) and is determined to bounce back.

“I will show Yair and the boxing world that I am here to stay with my fists,” Stevens declared.

Co-Main Event: Viloria vs. Wong – Super Featherweight Showdown

In the eight-round co-main event, Justin Viloria (8-0, 6 KOs) of Whittier, CA, takes on Alejandro Yung Wong (12-1, 6 KOs) of Los Mochis, Mexico.

Leonardo Rubalcava (9-0-1, 3 KOs) – Six-round super featherweight bout

Manuel Avila (25-2-1, 9 KOs) – Eight-round super featherweight contest
