Fireworks in Vegas: Charlo, Plant, and Unbeatens Headline Stacked May 31 PBC Card

Las Vegas is set for a night of explosive action as four high-stakes fights headline a loaded PBC Championship Boxing card on Saturday, May 31, live from the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay. The action-packed lineup will stream exclusively on Prime Video, beginning at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, available to all Prime members in the U.S. and select countries.

The card features two thrilling co-main events: Interim WBA Super Middleweight Champion Caleb Plant takes on Mexican knockout artist Armando Reséndiz, while unbeaten two-division champ Jermall Charlo faces gritty veteran Thomas "Cornflake" LaManna in a 10-rounder.

Also on the bill are two highly anticipated showdowns that could steal the spotlight:

Hernandez vs. Davis: Top Middleweights Collide

In a battle of elite 160-pounders, Cuban star Yoenli Feliciano Hernandez (7-0, 7 KOs) steps into the spotlight against rising American contender Kyrone “Shut It Down” Davis (19-3-1, 6 KOs) in a 10-round bout.

Hernandez, a former amateur standout and AIBA World Champion, has surged through the pro ranks with a perfect knockout streak. Training in Providence, Rhode Island, and sparring with top talent like David Morrell Jr., he’s quickly earned his spot as a top WBA contender.

“We’ve prepared for a tough fighter in Davis,” Hernandez said. “I’m here to change the perception of Cuban fighters—we can be exciting champions too.”

Davis, a slick boxer from Wilmington, Delaware, is riding a three-fight win streak and recently pulled off an impressive upset over top middleweight Elijah Garcia. Trained by Philly’s Stephen “Breadman” Edwards, Davis believes this fight is his moment.

“I can guarantee action,” Davis said. “Don’t be surprised if we steal the whole show.”

Lucero vs. Valenzuela: All-Mexican Clash of Unbeatens

Opening the stream is a potential show-stealer between undefeated Mexican warriors. Isaac “La Bestia” Lucero (16-0, 12 KOs) returns to the U.S. to face fellow unbeaten puncher Omar “Cachorro” Valenzuela (23-0, 20 KOs) in a high-stakes super welterweight clash.

Lucero, a five-time national medalist from La Paz, Mexico, now trains in Las Vegas with respected coach Bob Santos. He’s riding a five-fight KO streak and sees this moment as his breakout.

“I’m peaking at the right time,” said Lucero. “This fight is the first big step toward a world title.”

Valenzuela, from Tijuana, is making his U.S. debut after tearing through the competition with an 87% knockout rate. Known for his aggression, he’s not backing down from the spotlight.

“Lucero’s getting the hype, but I’m here to take his shine,” Valenzuela said. “After this, they’ll know I’m the next great Mexican fighter.”
