    • Top Rank, the American promoter of Naoya Inoue, announced that he and Stephen Fulton will face each other on May 7 in Yokohama, Japan, for Fulton's unified 122-pound championship. ESPN previously reported in January that the two sides had come to an agreement for the fight, which will be streamed on ESPN+ in the US on Sunday morning. Stephen Fulton, who is currently ESPN's top-rated 122-pound boxer, will be facing Naoya Inoue, ESPN's second-ranked pound-for-pound boxer and a major star in Japan. In December of last year, Inoue, also known as "The Monster," unified all four 118-pound titles in Tokyo by knocking out Paul Butler in the eleventh round to claim the undisputed bantamweight championship. In January, Inoue announced that he would be vacating all four belts as he prepares to campaign at 122 pounds. A fight against Fulton will give Inoue the chance to assert his dominance in his new weight class right from the start. With a record of 21-0 and eight knockouts, Stephen Fulton is not only the best fighter at 122 pounds, but also one of the best pound-for-pound fighters overall.
