Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price will clash in a three-belt unification showdown on March 7th at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall. Fresh off appearances on the same card this past weekend, the two welterweight titleholders are set to headline a special all-women’s event in Kensington.
Jonas (16-2-1, 9 KOs) has been on a tear since dropping down from junior middleweight, capturing the IBF belt by stopping Kandi Wyatt, narrowly outpointing Mikaela Mayer in a contentious first defense, and putting on a masterclass against WBC champion Ivana Habazin. Price (8-0, 2 KOs), a gold medalist from the Tokyo Olympics, convincingly defeated WBA champion Jessica McCaskill in May before delivering a punishing stoppage of Bexcy Mateus last Saturday.
Together with Mayer and Chantelle Cameron, Jonas and Price form one of the most compelling storylines in women’s boxing today. Their previous matchups within this group have yielded tremendous action, and there’s every reason to believe this fight will continue that trend. Details on the undercard will be announced in due course.
