Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will finally make his return from a long layoff and he is looking to prove his doubters wrong in his upcoming fight against Andrzej Fonfara on April 18 at StubHub Center in Carson, California.
Facing Fonfara will end a 13-month layoff for Chavez. He has a chin and likes to stand in the pocket to get physical. However so does Fonfara. Chavez should be careful and not be over confident coming in against Fonfara, who is lightly regarded because he has flown under the radar for most of his career. Keys to victory for Chavez, does what Chavez does get physical on the inside and kill the body.
Tall & skinny not particularly skilled or flashy and he does not have awe-inspiring punching power. Really there us nothing physically spectacular about Andrzej Fonfara. That being said he likes to fight and he get off the canvas to fight on. His in-the-pocket style and reasonable punching power give him the tools he need to fight Chavez. The keys to victory, he need to hang in the phonebooth and trade with Chavez as long as it takes. Chavez has a chin and love to trade in the pocket, this is where Fonfara endurance will come into play.
