In the main event WBC junior lightweight Francisco Vargas, will defend the title against experienced Orlando Salido on June 4 at Stub Hub Center in Carson, California. The bout is schedule for 12-rounds of boxing. This will be Vargas’ first title defense.

Orlando Salido is a true and tried veteran in the sport. His resume stacks up Robert Guerrero, Juan Manuel Lopez, Vasyl Lomachenko, Terdsak Kokietgym, Mikey Garcia and Roman “Rocky” Martinez. Never overlook Salido, he has upset many upcoming and current fighters. Orlando Salido is coming off back to back fights against Roman Martinez. He lost the frist fight by UD, scores: judges: Jose Roberto Torres 111-114, Rocky Young 110-115, Levi Martinez 109-116. Salido, was down in 3rd, 5th, and lost one point for low blows in 11th. The rematch ended in a draw, judges: Patricia Morse Jarman 115-113, Burt A. Clements 113-115, Glenn Feldman 114-114.

Vargas also sports an impressive resume, Takashi Miura, Will Tomlinson, Juan Manuel Lopez, Abner Cotto and Jerry Belmontes. This is going to be a real test for Vargas's undefeated record. He is coming off a TKO 9RD win over Takashi Miura, this past November. During the fight Vargas was down in round four & Miura down in round nine. Vargas is not hard to hit which gives Salido a chance.
