Tyson Fury wins thriller!

Undefeated heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury had to overcome adversity in order to win his US debut at Madison Square Garden Saturday afternoon on NBC. Fury defeated Cunningham by 7th round KO with a stunning knockout in a fight that kept the fans on their feet nearly the entire bout. Fury was knocked down in the second round by an overhand right and was in trouble for the rest of the round. It continued into the third and fourth round as Cunningham used his quick speed and side to side movement to control the fight and land clean hard shots that left the crowd wondering if he would be able to survive. As the fight progressed, Fury’s size and strength began to take over the fight as he began to land hard shots and lean on Cunningham to tire him out. Fury landed a hard body shot in the 7th round that hurt Cunningham, and finished him with a right hand on the ropes. Cunningham couldn't beat the ten count. Fury improved to 21-0 with 15 KO’s. Cunningham fell to 25-5.

On the undercard to open the televised show, Curtis Stevens defeated Derrick Findley by Unanimous Decision. Scores were 79-73, 78-74, 78-74. Stevens controlled the entire fight with his superior speed. It was his second fight at middleweight, and he looked very comfortable and controlled. Findley had some good moments, but the quicker, better skilled Stevens was able to counter effectively and fight off the ropes well to control most of the action in the fight.
