Herrera Defeats Perez

In a great opener to the #CaneloLara showdown, Mauricio Herrera (21-4, 7 KOs) defeated Johan “El Terrible” Perez (19-2-1, 13 KOs). Scores were 114-114, 116-112, 116-112. In an action packed fight both fighters showed a lot of heart standing toe to toe trading punches. Herrera claimed the WBA interim super lightweight title. He has had a few fights after which he (and other at ringside) thought he should have. He is a dangerous fighter no one wants to face.
