Results: Beterbiev Stops Johnson

Unbeaten light heavyweight Artur Beterbiev (9-0, 9 KOs) scored a punishing seventh round KO over Alexander Johnson (16-3, 7 KOs) on the Lara vs Rodriguez card. Starting slow and patient Beterbiev began the fight setting up combinations hunting Johnson around the ring. By the four round it was clear that Beterbiev was in control and dropped Johnson twice in round five and the bout was almost stopped. His corner was ready to call it off, however let Johnson go into the 6th. Johnson came out strong winning the round but it was not enough. Beterbiev then dropped Johnson two more times in round seven to end it. Time was 1:38.
