Magdaleno-Flanagan fight for the WBO lightweight championship

Manchester's own Terry 'Turbo' Flanagan also makes the first defence of the WBO Lightweight Championship in front of his home crowd against dangerous southpaw Diego Magdaleno. This fight will take place as part of the Andy Lee vs Billy Joe Saunders fight bill at Manchester Arena on Saturday 10th October. The bout is schedule for twelve rounds of boxing.

Flanagan won the WBO lightweight championship title in his last fight against Jose Zepeda this past July @ Velodrome, Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom. Zepeda suffered a dislocated left shoulder and remained on his stool at the end of the 2nd round. Flanagan is currently undefeated with 28 wins & 11 knockouts.

Diego Magdaleno has won five consecutive bouts and is coming off a TKO win over Jose A Gonzalez this past June. He only has one lost on his record to Roman Martinez back in 2013 by split decision, scores judges: Levi Martinez 112-115, Michael Pernick 113-114, Robert Hoyle 116-111.
