Sadam Ali and Johan Perez will go head to head this Saturday July 29th at the Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona. The fight will be telecasted live on ESPN starting at 9 p.m. ET and on ESPN3 live stream of the undercard fights will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. PST. The main event is schedule for 10 rounds for the vacant NABA welterweight title.
Ali, a 28-year-old coming off back-to-back victories since losing to Jessie Vargas by TKO last year. In his last fight he knocked out Jorge Silva in the 3rd round. last September he defeated Saul Corral by UD dropping him in the 4th round. Ali, representative of the 2008 U.S. Olympic team has an impressive resume since starting his professional career in 2009. Ali has a boxer puncher style and is looking to make a statement against Johan Perez.
Perez, a 33-year-old from Caracas, Venezuela is coming off two first knockout wins against Jose Antonio Cervantes & Esteban Alseco this year. his three losses are to top fighters, Pablo Cesar Cano, Mauricio Herrera, and Dmitry Mikhaylenko.
Perez also sports an impressive resume since starting his career in 2005. he held the interim WBA World Super Lightweight Championship and regional titles in the welterweight division. He has defeated top fighters including Yoshihiro Kamegai, Steve Forbes and Paul Spadafora.
