Anthony Joshua weighed-in at a career-high 254 pounds for Saturday night’s heavyweight world title defense against replacement opponent Carlos Tarkam in Cardiff.
Joshua (19-0, 19 KO’s), 28, the 2012 Olympic super heavyweight gold medalist, is fighting for the first time since beating Wladimir Klitschko in April when the British boxer weighed-in at 250 pounds.
Takam (35-3-1, 27 KO’s), 36, of France, has won two fights in a row since losing a competitive unanimous decision to current WBO heavyweight world champion Joseph Parker, in May 2016.
