Jeison Rosario knocks Jamontay Clark out of the ring, cruises to unanimous decision win

Hard-hitting super welterweight Jeison Rosario picked up a one-sided unanimous decision victory over Jamontay Clark on a Friday edition of Premier Boxing Champions on Fox Sports 1 at Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but the fight did have some gripping moments.

Rosario knocked Clark clear out of the ring in the third round with a vicious right hand. Thankfully he landed on his back and not his head, but it did not get much better for the 23-year-old out of Cincinnati, Ohio, as Rosario, 23, kept the script for the remaining eight rounds of their junior middleweight match, battering his opponent across the ring.

Rosario won on scores of 99-90, 98-91, and 97-92.

Rosario (16-1-1, 11 KO's), a Dominican Republic native based in Miami, hurt Clark after he got full leverage on a solid right hand, snapping Clark's head back with less than a minute to go in the eighth.

And just like the third round, Clark exemplified the heart of a champion as he continued to weather the storm from Rosario's barrage of punches.

Clark also nearly flew out of the ring in the seventh round after he got clobbered by a right uppercut. Moreover, in the fifth round, the bout turned into a night in the octagon when both fighters got tangled up and descended to the canvas right after Clark tasted another Rosario right hand.

Rosario is 4-0-1 since losing via sixth-round TKO to Nathaniel Gallimore in an April 2017 bout contested at the middleweight limit of 160-pounds.
