Legacy Sports Management gets set for another edition of the Legacy Boxing Series in Wuppertal, Germany on July 15th. The series heads back to Germany after promoting in Dubai for the second time this past March.
The 13 fight card takes place at the Historische Stadthalle in the western German city of Wuppertal.
Topping the bill will be former 154-pound world champion, Austin ‘No Doubt’ Trout (34-5-1). Trout is currently ranked at #10 by the IBF, the American will face-off against Romanian southpaw, Florin Cardos (21-3) over 8 rounds. Trout comes off three successive victories, most recently defeating Mexican Alejandro Davila (22-2-2) by unanimous-decision on the Legacy Boxing Series at Hotel Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai last year.
The WBA Gold Super Featherweight title is on the line in the evening’s chief support. Germany’s Ramona Graeff (3-0) jumps into the deep end against Venezuelan former world champion, Alys Sanchez (17-7-1) over 10 rounds. The fight has also been designated as a WBA Super Featherweight title eliminator, the title currently being held by South Korean, Hyun Mi Choi (19-0-1).
German-based Cuban, Uwel Hernandez (13-1) squares off with Kosovo’s Kamer Maloku (16-2) over 10 rounds for the vacant WBA Continental Super Middleweight title. Hernandez is on a seven-fight winning streak, most recently winning the IBO Continental title in March of this year with a decision victory over Mefire Jackie. Maloku comes off an astonishing ten-fight knockout streak, his only two career losses coming in his first two professional bouts.
Legacy’s latest signing Jaouad Belmehdi (15-0-3) of France will fight James Chereji (17-1-0) of Romania over 8 rounds in the lightweight division. Belmehdi goes to fight in Germany for the first time in his career. Chereji last fought Liam Paro in Australia suffering a sole defeat in his career to date.
More title action comes from the cruiserweight division. The vacant WBA International Cruiserweight title will be at stake when German knockout artist, Huseyin Cinkara (18-0, 15 KOs) goes to battle with Al Sands (22-4-1) over 12 rounds. The Haitian-American is undefeated in three fights, last seen stopping Marcus Oliveira in the second round in the U.S.
Croatian heavyweight Argon Smakici (18-1, 16 KOs) will face Brazil’s Fernando Almeida (9-5) over 8 rounds. Samkici stopped Jamaican heavyweight Lenroy Thomas inside 3 rounds on the Legacy Boxing Series in Dubai this past March.
Former WBA Cruiserweight World Champion First Arslan (51-9-3) will be in action alongside other German fighters; Natalie Zimmermann (8-0), Sarah Weidmann (2-0), Timo Rost (12-1-3) with debutants Sarah Scheurich and Franklin Dwomoh adding to the evening’s action.
Irish-based Slovakian super middleweight Vladimir Belujsky (12-4-1) and Afghanistan-born German-based cruiserweight Shokran Parwani (17-1) bring more international flavour to The Legacy Boxing Series in Wuppertal, the pair both being scheduled for six-round contests.
The event will be broadcast on Fite internationally and Bild in Germany.
