Their first encounter, held four months ago at the same venue, ended in a draw, setting the stage for this 12-round main event to determine the definitive victor. Promoted by Queensberry Promotions, Heaney vs. Pauls II, along with the undercard action, will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+, starting at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
Nathan Heaney (18-0-1, 6 KOs): A professional for six years, Heaney secured the British middleweight crown last November with a 12-round majority decision over former world title challenger Denzel Bentley. At 35, Heaney is ranked No. 5 by both the WBO and WBA.
Brad Pauls (18-1-1, 10 KOs): Pauls turned professional in 2015 and maintained a 16-0 record until his first defeat in a 10-round decision to Tyler Denny in February 2023. He bounced back with a points victory over Patryk Polasik in April and an eighth-round stoppage of Mitchell Frearson in September.
