Riyadh Season and Golden Boy Promotions "Latino Night"

Riyadh Season and Golden Boy Promotions, one of the premier boxing promotion companies owned by six-division, 10-time World Champion and Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya, have officially announced their inaugural event as part of a larger partnership.

The event, titled "Latino Night," is set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 16. Co-promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and BOXXER, the night will be a massive celebration of Latino boxing talent. The main event will feature WBA Cruiserweight World Champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez (46-1, 30 KOs) of Mazatlán, Mexico, in his pursuit of unifying the cruiserweight division. His first step will be a showdown with WBO Cruiserweight World Champion Chris Billam-Smith (20-1, 13 KOs) of Bournemouth, UK, who is riding high after three successful title defenses. The marquee bout promises to be a fierce clash between two world-class athletes.

Ramirez, known for being the first Mexican boxer to capture world titles in both the super middleweight and cruiserweight divisions, is now on a mission to dominate the cruiserweight ranks. Billam-Smith, a seasoned English fighter, currently holds the WBO Cruiserweight title, having previously claimed the European, British, and Commonwealth cruiserweight belts between 2019 and 2022.
