Isaac Cruz Set for 2025 Comeback in All-Mexican Showdown

Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz Aims for a Strong Start to 2025 in All-Mexican Showdown Against Angel Fierro

Mexican star and former world champion Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz is gearing up for a thrilling start to his 2025 campaign, as he prepares to face hard-hitting contender Angel Fierro in an all-Mexican clash this Saturday, February 1. The fight will take place as part of a packed PBC Pay-Per-View event, streaming live on Prime Video from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

“We’re packed and ready to head to Vegas this week,” Cruz shared. “The fans are excited to see us back in the ring, and there’s no better way to kick off the year than with an all-out Mexican brawl!”

At just 26 years old, Cruz will step into the ring in Las Vegas for the third time in his career. His most recent appearance in March 2024 at T-Mobile Arena saw him knock out the reigning champion, 'Rolly' Romero, before a raucous crowd of his loyal supporters.

“I’ll never forget my first fight in Las Vegas—it was the result of years of dedication,” Cruz reflected. “Every Mexican fighter dreams of competing here, and I’m so grateful to be returning. It feels just as special as the first time, and I owe a lot of that to the fans who continue to show me so much love.”

This fight will mark Cruz's first since his loss by decision in August when he dropped the title. Now, he’s focused on his comeback and aims to use a win on February 1 to put himself back in title contention within the 140-pound division.

“Saturday, February 1 marks a fresh start,” Cruz stated. “The fans love fights like these, and that’s why I fight—to give them what they want. We’ve had a strong training camp, and I’m ready to give my best performance. The goal is to regain my spot at the top and set up bigger fights. I’m coming into this fight in top shape.”

Tickets for the event are available now at AXS.com.

The PPV event will be available to watch on Prime Video across the U.S., UK, and Canada—no Prime membership required. Fans can also catch the action through traditional cable and satellite providers, as well as PPV.com.
