Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz proudly announces the signing of unbeaten super welterweight prospect Isaac “La Bestia Jr.” Lucero (16-0, 12 KOs) to a co-promotional agreement alongside Mexico-based promoter Eric Ibarra of TM Boxing.
The 26-year-old from Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, has primarily fought in his home country since turning pro in 2019, when he scored a first-round knockout over Anthony Zender in Los Angeles. In 2021, Lucero captured the WBC Youth Silver Welterweight title with a seventh-round stoppage of Dilan Loza Burgos, successfully defending the belt twice before moving on.
Lucero recently relocated to Las Vegas to train under award-winning coach Bob Santos at his VIP Gym, aiming to sharpen his skills and establish himself on the international stage.
Fighter and Promoter Reactions
Lucero expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership:
"First of all, I want to thank God for this opportunity. I'm very happy and excited to join forces with Mr. Sampson Lewkowicz, who has placed his trust in me. I will work very hard to repay him with victories and go as far as possible in the sport I love."
Ibarra, a key figure in Mexican boxing, echoed Lucero’s excitement:
"I'm very happy about this agreement. Sampson is a dear friend and a great promoter. I'm confident this decision is the right one. With his support and his team, we'll soon put Isaac Lucero's name in the spotlight of international boxing."
Lewkowicz, known for his work with PBC and ProBox TV, believes Lucero has the potential to reach the sport’s highest levels:
"Working with Bob Santos will turn this very good boxer into a great one. I’m happy to be Isaac Lucero’s co-promoter, along with my old friend Eric Ibarra. We will get to work on establishing him as a known name in the U.S. boxing scene by securing him the right fights and eventually helping him become a world champion."
With his new training setup and backing from two influential promoters, Lucero is poised for a breakout year as he looks to make his mark on the international boxing stage.
