Jack Catterall vs Regis Prograis Aug. 24 in Manchester on DAZN

Jack Catterall is set to return to the ring on August 24, facing Regis Prograis in a highly anticipated DAZN main event in Manchester, England.

Catterall, 30, boasts a record of 29-1 with 13 knockouts. His last bout on May 25 saw him victorious over Josh Taylor in a rematch of their controversial 2022 encounter, which remains Catterall's only career loss to date.

Prograis, with a record of 29-2 and 24 knockouts, last fought in December 2023, suffering a decisive defeat to Devin Haney, losing the WBC super lightweight title in the process. The 35-year-old "Rougarou" has had a tough year, including a split decision win over Danielito Zorrilla that many saw as a sign of decline.

Catterall’s recent win over Taylor was largely about settling a personal score, as Taylor wasn't in peak form going into the fight. Nevertheless, it's encouraging to see Catterall quickly stepping back into action. While Prograis may not be in his prime, the super lightweight division currently offers limited opportunities for marquee fights. For "El Gato," staying active is crucial after spending much of the last two years in limbo waiting for Taylor.

For Prograis, this fight represents a chance to reassert himself in the 140-pound division. For Catterall, it's an opportunity to solidify his status as a top contender.
