Broner-Maidana, Alexander-Khan still working

While there are already a tone of huge fights ready to begin starting in September and continuing to the end of the year, two big fights still lay in the balance of negotiations. Adrien Broner vs Marcos Maidana and Devon Alexander vs Amir Khan are two fights that boxing fans are very interested in, and two fights that are being worked on and could be done very soon.

Broner vs Maidana likely has a date of November 9th on Showtime, and Shaefer has hinted that it could be a PPV event that will feature a undercard with fights just as good. While it would be the fourth PPV card in three months and unlikely to draw tons of buys due to it, the fight is still a big fight that fans want to see get done. It remains to be seen if Shaefear will proceed with making it a PPV card considering he would be asking people to dish out even more money than they already will be by paying. Most will buy Mayweather-Canelo on September 14th  and Pacquiao-Rios on Novemeber 23rd. Also, Marquez-Bradley will be a PPV event as well on October 12th that hardcore boxing fans will buy. PPV or not, it looks as though this fight will get done, as both Broner and Maidana have said they want the fight.

December 7th is the date being held for Devon Alexander vs Amir Khan. This fight has been a little more difficult to get done due to the venue. The fight was seriously being discussed to be held in Dubai, however Alexander's camp seemed hesitant to travel there without a serious payday. Khan has said that the fight doesn't need to be held in Dubai in order for it to happen, and New York City is being discussed for their showdown. This is another fight that looks really good, and seems to be close to getting down very soon.

It's expected that an annoucement regarding both of these fights will be announced in the next couple weeks, and both look like they will get done.
