Mayweather-Canelo gate generates over 20 million

The record breaking gate revenue for the Floyd Mayweather vs Saul Canelo Alvarez at the MGM Grand Saturday night continued to rise this week as it reportedly broke over 20$ million dollars. A few months ago, the fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather in 2007 held the record at around 18.5 million. Mayweather vs Alvarez broke that within the first two weeks tickets went on sale, and it the money is still coming in. The fight is expected to generate anywhere between 150-200$ million dollars depending on PPV sales.
