Arum wants NYC football stadium for Martinez-Cotto summer showdown

Bob Arum expressed his interest to various media outlets earlier this week regarding a potential matchup between Sergio Martinez and Miguel Cotto next summer. Martinez's camp said that he will likely be out until early summer of next year however they are very interested in making the fight against Miguel Cotto. Arum, who is helping Cotto in promoting his fights, has said that he wants the fight for Cotto as well. While the fight still has ways to go before being done, Arum is shooting for a June 7th 2014 date at Metlife Stadium, where the New York Giants and Jets play. The fight would take place one day before the Puerto Rican day parade, and would likely be a PPV event.
