Amir Khan has decided to put some extra pressure on Floyd Mayweather, perhaps in fear that he may lose the proposed May 3rd showdown to Marcos Maidana. Last week Khan went public in saying that he has signed his part of the deal to face Floyd Mayweather on May 3rd and now it is up to Floyd to make the decision. Mayweather, whose known for announcing his own fights, still has yet to make a decision on whether or not to face Khan. The other person generating alot of buzz is newly crowned WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana. Maidana defeated Adrien Broner just a few weeks ago. Despite the flaws in both Khan and Maidana, who each have three loses, the fans seem to be in accord that they would rather see Maidana fight Floyd than Khan. A poll done by Fightnights showed that 79% of the fans would rather see Maidana than Khan. The outrage that has stemmed from a Khan fight may have put Mayweather's decision on hold, or he may just be doing what he usually does by just letting the fans sweat it out until he is ready to tell. Regardless, the speculations will end sometime this month. Floyd is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks. Marcos Maidana's team claim that they have yet to receive any sort of offer to face Mayweather however that could change in a matter of days.
