Shawn Porter vs Kell Brook set for Aug 9 in NY

IBF Welterweight champion Shawn Porter (24-0-1, 15 KO's) and mandatory contender Kell Brook (32-0, 22 KO's) have agreed to terms to face each other on August 9th in New York. The fight has been being discussed for the past few weeks and was very close to going to a purse bid. Both camps were able to come together and agree to terms before the deadline that had been moved to June 10th. Porter is coming off two of the biggest wins of his career, over Devon Alexander and Paulie Malignaggi, that have propelled him to the spotlight. While Brook hasn't beaten the type of competition that Porter has he's been itching for his chance to shine in the spotlight.
