Manny Pacquiao vs Chris Algieri edges closer for 11/22

According to multiple sources in the industry, promoter Bob Arum, and Algieri’s promoter Joe Deguardia, a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri is looming for November 22nd in Macao, China. Algieri’s team has received a contract to fight Pacquiao in Macao and Arum is awaiting a response for his team to accept or decline the offer. 

Algieri is coming off the biggest win of his career, a tight split decision victory over the hard hitting Ruslan Provodnikov in where he fought half of the fight with one eye closed. A fan favorite in New York, his Rocky type performance in the fight may have landed him the biggest fight of his career. Pacquiao wanted to fight Marquez next to avenge his knockout loss from 2012 however Marquez is uninterested in the fight. Algieri's team is expected to sign the fight. More details to come.
