Bernard Hopkins vs Sergey Kovalev agreed upon for Novemeber

A mega fight between WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (24-0-1, 22 KO’s) and IBF light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (55-6-2, 32 KO’s) has been agreed upon for a November showdown as long as Kovalev defeats Blake Caparello tomorrow night according to both Sports Illustrated and ESPN.

Weeks ago Hopkins said that he wasn’t scared of Kovalev and that he would be willing to take the fight. Kovalev’s team responded by contacting Hopkin’s team. It appears that they were able to work out the details to make the fight happen. Hopkins is coming off a split decision victory over Beibut Shumenov. The fight will take place in either New York City or Atlantic City. No date has been mentioned yet.
