The heated exchange between Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent continues to pour across the news. It all started when Floyd Mayweather allegedly took a shot, without mentioning names, at rap artists who are using his name to get into the public eye because they aren’t relevant anymore. Mayweather’s beef with T.I, Nelly, and 50 Cent hasn’t been a secret this years.
Though Nelly was the first to take a shot at Mayweather’s education on ESPN’s First Take by saying you can’t talk to someone that never graduated high school, it’s 50 Cent’s that is receiving the most publicity by challenging Floyd Mayweather to read a page out of Harry Potter. Mayweather responded by posting two checks totaling $71 million dollars and said “Read that.” 50 Cent didn’t waste any time in pointing out the checks were made out to him by Golden Boy asking him if he was “Oscar’s b*tch.”
The ongoing beef between 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather doesn't seem like it will ever end. When both ends have been quiet for awhile something always seems to flare it up. For Mayweather, all this publicity is a good thing with his rematch against Marcos Maidana looming in the coming weeks. You know what they say “There is no such thing as bad publicity.” And when attacking someone’s literacy Floyd Mayweather actually becomes the victim in this. While many jokes and memes have stemmed from this there are a lot of people out there who also feel bad for Floyd.
