Jermain Taylor arrested, Soliman fight still on

Former middleweight champion Jermain Taylor was arrested last night in a shooting that occurred inside of his home in Little Rock, AR that left one man in serious condition. Police arrested Taylor last night on charges of aggravated assault and domestic battery. Two men, one of which was Taylor’s cousin, were inside of Taylor’s house when the altercation occurred. The police referred to them as intruders. Taylor shot multiple times at both his cousin and the other person involved. Taylor’s cousin was the only one struck by bullets and remains hospitalized. 

 

Taylor was released today on a $25,000 bond and was cleared to leave the state for his upcoming bout against IBF Middleweight champion Sam Soliman. The fight is scheduled to take place on ESPN October 4th in Biloxi, MS.
