Top Rank eyes September 26th PPV from Mexico

Bob Arum of Top Rank Promotions is planning on having a PPV event September 26th live from Mexico. Arum told Dan Rafeal of ESPN that he couldn't take up all of HBO's dates nor wait for HBO's money. He wants to keep his guys active and on television in some way.

"It's not fair for us or to HBO for us to be dependent on the HBO money. HBO has to be able to accommodate other people." Arum told ESPN.

Arum is planning on having the fight at the Mexico City Arena. The venue holds 22K seats. On the card he hopes to land fan favorite Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (43-0, 37 KO's) to square off against Brian Viloria (35-4, 21 KO's) in the main event. He also plans of having rising star Oscar Valdez (15-0, 14 KO's) and Gilberto Ramirez (31-0, 24 KO's) on the PPV card.
