Middleweight contender Eamonn O' Kane (14-1-1, 5 KO's) took to Twitter early today to announce that he will be squaring off against Tureano Johnson (18-1, 13 KO's) next. The winner of that fight will be the mandatory challenger to face newly crowned IBF titleholder David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KO's), who just won the title with a thrilling victory over the tough Hassan N'Damn. There is not date or venue set for the Kane-Johnson fight and this announcement has not been confirmed by anyone other than O'Kane himself. Johnson has voiced his urge to get back in the ring, and was rumored to be in line to face Gennady Golovkin should Golovkin's attempt to land Carl Froch fall out of place. There have been no further reports of that happening either.
