While a fight between Leo Santa Cruz and Abner Mares has yet to be officially confirmed there are plenty of sources saying that the fight is going to happen. The fight is expected to land on August 29th and will be shown on ESPN. Sources are now saying that the fight will likely take place in Los Angeles, CA. Both fighters have taken alot of heat over the last two years for their lack of opposition and a fight against each other is what both need to get back into favor with the fans.
