Team Golovkin says no word from Carl Froch

Despite Carl Froch posting a picture of himself at the gym with the caption "Too big and too strong for GGG", Golovkin's promoter Tom Loeffler has advised that he has only heard silence from the other end of the phone. Loeffler has been trying to get Golovkin into the ring with Carl Froch for the past two weeks. Team Golovkin has agreed to face Froch at 168, and goto the UK to do it. Eddie Hearn, Froch's promoter, has yet to return Loeffler's calls leading many to believe that Froch is just talking.

One report stated that Carl Froch was complaining about fighting Golovkin at a catchweight, but Tom Loeffler has made it clear from day one that there was never going to be a catchweight.

"We always said it would be at 168 and would be willing to go to the UK." Loeffler said in response to Carl Froch's claim of a catchweight.

The fight could also take place in Las Vegas on PPV in the United States if Froch wanted. HBO is very interested in having the fight and believe it could do well enough PPV numbers for it to be worth it.
