Paulie Malignaggi announces retirement

Former world champion Paulie Malignaggi has officially retired following last night's loss to Danny Garcia at the Barclay's Center.

Malignaggi lacked combinations and defense every round last night in a fight where Garcia himself looked slow. He looked every bit like a fighter that had nothing more to give to the sport.

In the last year Malignaggi has been praised for his great announcing for Showtime and now the PBC. Malignaggi will continue to do that following a career where he's faced the best fighters in the sport.
