Result: Anthony Dirrell defeats Rubio

Anthony Dirrell defeated Marco Antonio Rubio in a super middleweight bout of 10 rounds. Scores were judge: Levi Martinez 100-90, Oren Shellenberger 100-90, Glen Rick Crocker 100-90. The fight took place Sunday afternoon at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Dirrell dominated most of the rounds landing clean punches & combinations. Marco Antonio Rubio had his moments but not enough to to pull off winning any rounds. Rubio looked very out of shape, slow and sluggish. Even with his condition Dirrell could not do enough to knock him out or even score a knockdown. The bout aired live on CBS, as part of the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) series.
