McKenzie-Ramirez on Oct 2nd in Buenos Aires

Ovill McKenzie (25-12, 13 KOs), #14 IBF contender will face Victor Ramirez (22-2, 17 KOs) for the IBF World cruiserweight title scheduled for 12 rounds. The fight will take place @ Villa La Nata Sporting Club Benavidez, Buenos Aires, Argentina and televised on Argentina TyC Sports.

Victor Emilio Ramirez was given the full cruiserweight titleholder after injured Yoan Pablo Hernandez was stripped of the title. He was not forced to fight for a vacant title. Ramirez was scheduled for a mandatory bout on Oct. 2 against Hernandez but Hernandez is still injured. Ramirez captured the interim belt in April with a unanimous decision over Ola Afolabi. IBF mandated that Hernandez faces Ramirez but due to the injury he could not. So now we have McKenzie-Ramirez fighting for the title.

Ovill McKenzie is coming for four straight wins. In his last fight he won by TKO over Janne Forsman. His only real notable fight was against Enzo Maccarinelli whom he fought twice, winning one and losing one.
