Ortiz TKO's Jennings, eyes Wilder, Fury, Klitschko

Undefeated heavyweight Luis Ortiz (24-0, 21 KO's) emerged victorious last night as he defeated Bryant Jennings (19-2, 10 KO's) by 7th round TKO. The exciting heavyweight fight was a battle with Ortiz being able to get the better of Jennings as the fight went on. After the fight Ortiz stated that he was ready for whoever:

“I have been training for a big of this magnitude for three years. This victory proves something that I have been saying for years, I am a serious contender for the heavyweight world title. This is a new era in boxing and everyone saw today that I have what it takes to face the elite of the division. My strategy was to keep him at a distance and I was able to do that effectively with my reach and my jab. I have a lot of respect for Jennings he went 12 rounds with Klitschko and that is worth something.

“I will fight who ever next, whoever Golden Boy Promotions gives me I will take. Wilder, Fury, Klitschko anyone of them, I am ready to prove that I am the heavyweight world champion.

"A lot of people say a lot of things about me, but the testing showed that I am a clean fighter."

Ortiz may be waiting awhile to land some of those names. Fury and Klitschko are slated to fight sometime early next year. Wilder is fighting next month and is expected to try to get the winner of the Fury-Klitschko rematch.
