Deontay Wilder disappointed at Klitschko's performance

Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34 KO's) will be defending his title for the third time as he takes on the heavy-handed Artur Szpilka (20-1, 15 KO's) January 16th live from the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn. Wilder is looking to have a huge 2016 with a fight against newly crowned heavyweight champion Tyson Fury lined up for late of 2016. Wilders spoke a little about how he felt about Klitschko's performance against Fury.

"I was very disappointed that Klitschko didn't show up and do the things that we expected of him and what he was capable of doing. It could be many reasons why that Klitschko didn't show up, because that wasn't him as a fighter. Klitschko as a person, his body was there, but as a fighter, something was missing. That isn'tt what we're used to seeing out of Wladimir Klitschko."

"I think Father Time has knocked on his door, and he don't want to let him in yet. But, I think it's knocking at his door, and that fight proved it."

Before he gets into the ring with Fury, Wilder has to beat a very game Szpilka. The fight will be televised on Showtime beginning at 10pm EST.
