Hitz Boxing Expands Seating Capacity For April 21 Show

Having to turn away paying customers at the door only means leaving money on the table.

Bobby Hitz has been in the game long enough to know how foolish it would to ever make that mistake again.

Following a sold-out venture this past February, Hitz Boxing returns to The Belvedere in the greater Chicago area on April 21. Seven bouts are on the deck so far, with event planners already planning for an even larger audience than the Standing Room Only crowd that was on hand for its last adventure.

“We had to stop selling tickets at our February event, so we wanted to make sure we could accommodate all of the fans on April 21st,” said Hitz. “Chicago is such a great fight town.  We’re going to have another great night of fights.”

The most intriguing matchup of the established slots for the show pits unbeaten welterweight prospect Nick Ramirez (9-0-1, 2KOs) versus Wisconsin’s Benito Tovar (8-2-4, 5KO) in a scheduled six-round bout.  The 27-year old Chicago boxer is coming off of a points win over the previously undefeated Robelle Rogers at The Belvedere this past February.

Among the returning talent from February's show include:

- Chicago-bred super lightweight Genaro Mendez (11-3-1, 6KO) - who bested Mike Fowler via decision in his last bout -  faces Erik Fowler (7-7, 7KO) in a six round bout;

- Tommy “White Lightening” Hughes (1-0, 1KO) - a past Chicago Golden Gloves champion and former college football player who made his pro debut on the aforementioned show - appears in a four-round super middleweight bout versus a yet-to-be-named opponent;

- Heavyweight Lorenzo Hood (2-0, 1KO) - a former Arena Football League defensive linemen and MMA fighter - is slated to appear for the first time on Hitz Boxing's fighting circuit;

- Yousef Saleh (3-0, 2KO), Matt Cameron (0-0-1) and Chris Kimble (1-0, 1KO) - all based out of Chicago - appear in separate bouts.

For those who were unable to get through the doors last time, more tickets are available for purchase this time around. Prices are $100 for VIP and $40 for general admission, and are available at www.hitzboxing.com.
