Jake Donovan is an award-winning veteran writer who thinks way too highly of his own work (for example, the pathetic intro pointing to awards he has won). Born in the Boogie Down Bronx, the sport runs deep in the family with three generations of amateur boxers. Jake's own glorious amateur career came to a screeching halt in 1992, bowing out with an 11-4 record after losing to a boxer in Germany who entered the evening with an 0-9 record. It was at that moment he realized that he was a much better writer than a fighter, hitting the beat on a regular basis 10 years later. Jake has produced an endless amount of pointless drivel for the likes of BoxingScene.com, SI.com, Fox Sports, Ring Magazine, FightBeat.com and BoxingTalk.com before conning the Gonzalez brothers to bring him on board here.
