Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Moises Flores Declared No Contest

The co-main event between Guillermo Rigondeaux and Moises Flores two weekends ago on the Andre Ward vs Sergey Kovalev undercard has been officially changed to a no-contest. The Nevada State Athletic Commission made their decision early this morning stating that the reason Ridondeaux will not be disqualified was that his punch, that was clearly landed and thrown after the bell, was unintentional. Rigondeaux and Flores exchanged flurries at the end of the first round with both fighters continuing to throw punches after the bell. Rigondeaux's punch landed clean and saw Flores hitting the canvas where he was eventually unable to continue.

It's likely that a rematch will be ordered by the WBA.

Ridondeaux has been pushing to get a fight with Vasyl Lomachenko over the past few days however he might have to take care of Flores first.
