Looks like Mayweather will exit retirement once again. This time to take on Tenshin Nasukawa 20-year-old Japanese kickboxer. The fight is schedule to take place on Dec. 31th at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The arena seats 37,000 people. Mayweather and Nasukawa announced the fight worldwide on YouTube at a news conference in Tokyo on Monday.

What we don't know so far:

  • Is this fight MMA, kickboxing or boxing
  • Specific rules of the bout
  • Number of rounds
  • Weight limit
  • Broadcast
  • Type of gloves

"As far as the weight class and the rules, we'll talk about that," said Mayweather. "It's all about me going out there and displaying my skills against another skillful fighter. So we both want to go out there and display our skills and give people excitement. I just want to entertain. "..

Last time we seen Mayweather in the ring was against MMA superstar Conor McGregor in Aug of 2017. Recently Mayweather has been talking about a rematch against Pacquiao. Manny has also recently signed with Al Haymon, who is Mayweather's manager.

Is this fight going to be an official boxing bout on Mayweather's record, is this just entertainment? Im sure we will get all the details over the next few weeks. In the meantime, Mayweather will take on Nasukawa, who is 27-0 with 21 knockouts in kickboxing and 4-0 with two knockouts in MMA. He recently defeated former UFC fighter Kyoji Horiguchi in a kickboxing fight.

The fight will be Mayweather's first outside of Las Vegas since he knocked out Sharmba Mitchell in Nov. 2005 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon.
