Claressa Shields Ready Ripped & Toned.

Middleweight champion Claressa Shields faces former champion Ivana Habazin, for the vacant WBC & WBO 154lbs titles. The fight takes place Friday, January 10 live on Showtime, at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, N.J. The event is promoted by Salita Promotions. This event will kick off the new year of boxing.

Can Claressa Shields climb the boxing ranking? The two-time Olympic gold medalist and now a four-belt world champion will continue to proves she is the best female boxing to date.

Their 1st fight that was schedule for last October, was canceled because prior to the official weigh-ins an altercation broke out between a person associated with Shields and Ali. The person from Shields' team later sucker-punched Ali. Police confirmed to the news outlet that one suspect has been taken into custody which cancelled the event.

Claressa Shields last fight was against Christina Hammer almost a year ago. Shields won by a unanimous decision with scores of Lynne Carter 98-92 | Guido Cavalleri 98-91 | Robin Taylor 98-91. Shields, only fought once in 2019 and four times in 2018. Currently undefeated at 9W 0Ls she has a 22% knockout ratio. Shields, has a size advantage going into this fight. Shields continues to prove she is at a different level than the majority of her opponents when it comes to speed, setting up her punches and power.

Ivana Habazin has not fought since December of 2018. In her last fight she faced Eva Bajic, winning by a unanimous decision with scores of Miljenko Kutlesa 100-90 | Zvonko Rukavina 99-91 | Sasa Stojanovic 99-91. She has two losses against Mikaela Lauren by TKO & Cecilia Braekhus by unanimous decision. Habazin has experience on the world level fighting many different types of boxers. Being at a power & size disadvantage she does have the faster hands.
