Prospect Jorge Carlos to return on Oct. 22 Triller card

Lightweight prospect Jorge Carlos Jr (2-0, 2KO) is set to return to action on October 22nd. Carlos will be competing on the undercard of a Triller Fight Club event in his native Kansas City.

“Jorge is already showing major star power in his hometown. His profile will continue to grow as more people see his talent,” said manager Mike Leanardi with respect to his most recent signees upcoming fight.

After a successful amateur career that saw him win 6 national championships, Carlos made the leap into the pro ranks in June. After an impressive debut he then inked a managerial pact with Mike Leanardi and FightStars/Victory Sports in August just ahead of his second professional outing. He won both fights by knockout, and will be looking to continue that streak on the Ares Entertainment promoted Triller card.

“I am excited to get to fight in front of my friends and family in KC, the community has shown me a ton of love and support so I can’t wait to put on a show for them,“ said Carlos. “I’d like to thank my family, my team, and my management for believing in my ability.”

Ares Entertainment will be promoting the card, which is headlined by McKenzie Morrison, and features the sons of several legendary boxers such as Tommy Morrison, Roberto Duran, Jose Luis Castillo, and Steven Cunningham. The event will be held at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, and the main card can be viewed on Triller.

“Jorge checks all the boxes, amateur pedigree, marketability, drawing power, exciting style. There’s a lot to be excited about with him,” added Victory Sports matchmaker Tanner Gill, who assists Leanardi in managing Carlos.
