Team USA Unveils 2025 Men’s Elite Boxing Roster

USA Boxing has officially announced its 2025 Men’s Elite roster following the conclusion of the Elite Selection Camp, held at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, from January 20 to February 18.

The seven boxers selected for the USA Boxing Men’s Elite High Performance Team were chosen through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the USA Boxing High Performance Department. Each athlete secured their spot by demonstrating exceptional skill, determination, and promise across their respective weight classes.

These elite athletes will represent Team USA in the 2025 World Boxing Cup events, beginning with the season opener in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, from March 31 to April 5. Later in the year, they will compete on the global stage at the inaugural World Boxing Elite World Championships, set to take place in Liverpool, England, from September 4 to 14.

Meet the 2025 USA Boxing Men’s Elite Team:

55 kg: Orlando Zamora (Turlock, Calif.)

60 kg: Thomas Covington (Westland, Mich.)

65 kg: Dustin Jimenez (Rochester, N.Y.)

70 kg: Carlos Flowers (Dover, Del.)

80 kg: Robby “Rahim” Gonzales (Las Vegas, Nev.)

90 kg: Malachi Georges (Teaneck, N.J.)

90+ kg: Kelvin Watts (Chesapeake, Va.)

Among the returning athletes is Robby Gonzales, a seasoned international competitor who secured gold at the 2021 World Championships. Malachi Georges earns his spot on the roster after an impressive showing in the 2024 USA Elite Squad and a gold medal victory at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials for Boxing. Thomas Covington joins the lineup after being named Most Outstanding Male Elite Boxer at the 2024 USA Boxing National Championships in Richmond, Virginia.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and National Resident Coach Timothy Nolan (Rochester, N.Y.), Team USA will aim for continued excellence and international success.
